The Canvas Alligator

The truth is I really don't have much to say. So I am going to entertain you with one of my favorite hobbies: poetry writing.

The Canvas Alligator

A chew toy for dogs...
A yellow-bellied victem,
Who has no more legs.

A dear friend of mine in college used to entertain me by emailing me haikus, written for me, just to make me laugh. We had the best time making up the stupidest poems for each other usually making fun of each other. Much much later when Nick and I were falling in love, we also shared improvised poetry for one another during our car ride to shop at the Foley outlet malls last summer. I almost crashed our car from laughing so hysterically at the foolishness that day. My favorite poem for him reads:

(please say these to yourselves with a British accent)

Love is Like Dirt

Like a horse drawn carriage traveling steadily along roads of passion red dirt,
oh how I would feel the hurt,
if you, oh Steed of mine
were to depart this carriage.

Here is another:
RRR

Just as citrus orange recycling bags line the Gulf Shores Parkway,
so I wait patiently for you, My Love,
to come and pick me up,
so that our love may be
re-used, and re-used, and re-used.

Warning: By the time you read this I will be dead because my love has killed me for sharing our FOOLISH AND ONLY UNDERSTOOD BY NICK AND LAURA HUMOR - or because I might die from embarrassement after clicking "Publish Post".

Those are great! I always knew you two were weirdly meant for each other. :)

YAY! I'm so glad that I don't weird you all out...because there are times when Nick and I really say I might be insane. I LOVE ridiculous/immature humor! When it came to prank calling and TPing peoples' cars I was so freakin excited.
